Over 250 stage performances, a University of Hyderabad diploma in Theatre Arts, and an award-winning short film under his belt — Pawon Ramesh comes to every set with more preparation than most.
About Pawon Ramesh
Born in Nellore and raised with a deep love for performance — his father was also a theatre artist — Pawon Ramesh relocated to Hyderabad and enrolled in a Theatre Arts diploma programme at the University of Hyderabad. Before graduating, he had already performed over 250 times on stage, in productions including Miss Meena (87 performances) and Adventures of Chinnari (43 performances), across stages from Ravindra Bharathi to cities across India.
His theatre training gives him something screen actors often lack: physical command. That quality shows in every role he takes. His short film Arcotia won the Meraki Film Festival Award for Best Short Film, introducing a wider audience to what those who'd seen him on stage already knew — this is a serious actor.
On screen, he has appeared in George Reddy (2019) as Dastagiri, Rakshasakavyam (2023), Pickpocket (2022, dir. Divya Bandaru), and most recently in Gopi Galla Goa Trip (2025) as Aruna — his most prominent feature role to date. He has also won recognition for his mime and stand-up comedy skills, which he often incorporates into his character work.
MC Joint represents Pawon Ramesh for feature films, web series, live performances, and talent management.
