Avanti Cinema is the creative house behind directors Rohit Penumatsa and Camp Sasi — the duo responsible for Nirudyoga Natulu, Kotha Poradu, Story Discussion, Double Engine, Sheeshmahal, and Gopi Galla Goa Trip. When MC Joint was founded in 2018, Avanti Cinema was our first and most defining partnership. Six years later, it remains our most comprehensive.
What started as a social media clean-up became a full creative services relationship — digital strategy, OTT platform development, independent music distribution, theatrical marketing, talent management, and community building. Every vertical MC Joint has grown into, Avanti Cinema grew with us.
Phase by PhaseWhen we first partnered with Rohit and Sasi, their films, trailers, behind-the-scenes, and interviews were scattered across multiple YouTube channels, Facebook pages, and Instagram profiles — some active, some abandoned. We audited everything, consolidated the digital footprint into a coherent structure, aligned all platforms under a unified Avanti Cinema identity, and built the social media presence that now supports 70,000+ followers on their Story Discussion Facebook group alone.
When Covid-19 hit and theatres shut down, we proposed something radical: Avanti Cinema didn't need a streaming platform to host them — they needed to build their own. We developed Avanti 2.0, a web application powered by the Socionity platform, purpose-built for indie film communities. The first release on this platform was the first half of Story Discussion Season 2 — with an unprecedented "pay as you like" subscription model. The campaign generated over ₹1.5 lakhs in 3 months with zero traditional marketing spend.
Following the success of Phase 2, we brought in our collaborator Suneeth Raghavula to completely redesign and rebuild the Avanti 2.0 platform — improving UI/UX, expanding the ability to showcase multiple projects, and elevating the visual experience. The revamped platform launched with the second half of Story Discussion Season 2. With absolutely zero marketing spend, the full season — still on the "pay as you like" model — generated over ₹4.5 lakhs, with contributions continuing beyond the initial campaign window.
MC Joint began as a digital-first marketing agency. But as our relationship with Avanti Cinema deepened, we kept encountering the same problem: extraordinary music — composed by the likes of Vivek Sagar and Smaran — that wasn't reaching audiences because it had no distribution infrastructure. We built one. We established MC Joint's music distribution wing and became the official distribution partner for the entire Avanti Cinema music catalogue — albums, singles, jukeboxes, and original scores across Spotify, Apple Music, JioSaavn, YouTube Music, and all major platforms.
2024 marked Avanti Cinema's most ambitious theatrical push. MC Joint supported the campaigns for Double Engine, Sheeshmahal, Chivaraku Migiledhi, and Gopi Galla Goa Trip — handling digital marketing, music distribution, talent coordination, and press strategy across all four releases. Gopi Galla Goa Trip (November 2025) was the creative and commercial high point — praised by critics as one of the finest Telugu films of the year.
